Topic 1: Getting to Know Each Other
The beginning of every conversation is getting to know each other, right?
I hope you enjoyed getting to know us!
Now it’s your turn!
Would you like to send us a video introducing yourself?
Send it to our Polinizadores WhatsApp group.
Remember that this video can be seen by all Pollinators in the program (both current Pollinators and future Pollinators who are yet to join the program!).
What would this video be like?
You can answer the following questions:
- Who are you (including your people and/or community) and where do you live?
- Share a place you really like, close to where you live. (Preferably record it there!)
- What do you like about being part of the Pollinators Program?
Details:
- horizontal video
- you can speak in the language you feel most comfortable with, such as Jamaican Patois, Tagalog or English, but it would be important to have a translation in English so that we can add the correct subtitles to your video 🙂
- Try to record in a beautiful location, close to nature! 😀
- It should be a short video, about 2 minutes long.
On every journey, it’s good to have someone accompanying us, right?
We would like to connect you with a Journey Partner, are you up for it? Please write ‘I am looking for a journey partner’ in our Polinizadores WhatsApp group.
Topic 2: Working online
We are far apart, but we can use technology to bring us closer together!
We can connect online via:
- Online chat groups: Meli’s Network large groups and Polinizadores group.
- Weekly meetings on Fridays.
- Content here on the Pollinators!
Let’s use these spaces to have lots of conversations! 😀
Topic 3: Values
To understand a programme, it is essential to know what values it seeks to strengthen.
Ana Rosa shared a little about what these values are and how they were selected:
The Values that guide this programme are:
- Unity within the Territories – Remembering the importance of working together to protect and strengthen our lands.
- Impact Networks with External Partners – The need to build bridges with outside allies who share similar values to ours.
- Oral Tradition and Language Strengthening – This programme will allow us to immerse ourselves in a diversity of languages and inspire us to strengthen our languages and living histories through speaking, listening and exchange. In addition to valuing the transmission of knowledge through oral tradition, even if it requires the use of technology.
- Community Strengthening – Supporting one person to strengthen an entire community. We will walk together, both in this International Network and in the Local Network, respecting our elders and listening to the diverse perspectives within our community.
- Good Living (Bem Viver) – Profound wisdom that guides our ways of living, relating, and growing.
What do you think of these Values?
Would you like to suggest a new Value? Do you resonate with one in particular? Tell us!
Topic 4: How does the Pollinators Program work?
I’ve got the idea of the Program – but how exactly will that work?
What do you think? Let’s build this platform together!
